hi
I'm an electrician studying my HNC in electrical engineering. i'm finding the subject of PLC's very difficult, one of the questions i'm asked i cant answer on the internet can anyone help?

Briefly explain the term resolution and determine the resolution of a 10 bit ADC used to represent an analogue voltage that went from +2.5V to -2.5V.
Explain why we might want to use a 12 bit ADC.

thanks
Tom

Hi tom,If you want ready yourself for the world of work, when you enter it,you need to dig deeper...Try "googlising" the performance data of 10 and 12 bits, and see if you notice any difference in their operation characteristics...
