hi all,
i have been asked to install bulkhead lights to a building site hoarding, about 200 metres worth.

havent visited site yet but am told they will be on 240 supply and run in swa.

all the sites ive seen before have been 110v and run in arctic cable so question is, do 240v lights comply on site??

Must admit, I've only done this in 110v with standard bulkheads and a 110 lamp running off a transformer. This was in the public street though so don't know if would be different if on private land etc. I was following recommendations from local H&S officer who attended site and wanted red lights facing the road and white for the path. I think you have to weigh up chances of damage, the higher the chance the more likely kids will be hanging from them or trucks hitting etc.
