Hi all not really a alarm man, usually if I get a alarm job I got for the infinite prime wireless ones or just put in the responce wired ones, but on my own house I bought a kit from local wholesaler to try and learn how to fit the accenta ones as they just look alot better than the responce ones, now the wiringi am fine with but it's just what to do when wired ? The programming bit of the manual seems all over the show,

How does it work does it need to be programmed or is that just to change entry times etc and user codes?

What I am getting at once it's wired correctly is that it? Can I just set it with 0123 and soon as a pir is activated will it go off after say 30 seconds, I am abit lost on this hence me trying it out on my my own place first !

Yes you can but only if you fit links on the circuit board for every circuit that you have not used.
otherwise you will have a fault on these zones

u will need to program it for omitting zones, it really is very easy after the 1st time

Take that first time pain. Work your way through the book, its not too bad! Theres quite alot you can do with it, auto diallers, smoke alarms, door chime!!!

Ergh door chimes & smokes.....my heads can only just handle the bell box!....the book dosnt help though as it has both LCD & LED instructions next to each other so I lose my way...... Think I need to restore to manufactures reset.....can't even put my eyes on that link I need to do!

Your best way is to solve one thing at a time, get everything up and running 1st, make sure you are happy and understand what is going on, then move onto the next thing, ie door chime, autodiallers.
Tell u what I do with alarm panels.
get the installer instruction then highlight only the parts you need, makes things much much clearer

Break it down into sections all zones are n/c....Entry/exit zone is a timed zone...intermittant zone is timed only when entry exit zone is activated first...standard zone is untimed when set...24hr zone is instant when alarm set or not...pa zone is personal attack zone instant when set or not. Now programming 1. entry time..program amount of seconds required to enter. 2. exit time...program amount of seconds to exit. 3. user code change program new code used to arm/disarm system. 4. Engineer code..program code (not the same as user code) to allow changing program settings 5. bell time.. program amount of minutes bell will sound for. This is the brief programming you will really only need to get the system up and running. Theres is a good helpful guy on here by the name of AlarmMan who should be able to help with more detailed programming

The previous bell box worked fine. I think it was just lacking the added security of anti tamper. Can this one be wired the same?
