Hi
This is my first post here & im hoping someone will be able to help me.

Right first of all i am hoping to replace my old & i think faulty diverter valve..,i have brought a honeywell v4073 to fit but when i have removed the wiring panel in the airing cupboard i have first of all noticed that the old valve has 3 wires & the new honeywell one has 5.. ??
Also have just seen that the wire up from the room stat in the lounge has only 3 wires where i think there should be 4 as shown on the honeywell wiring diagram for a y plan..
Any help would be great..!!

most thermostats have a 3core cable to them you have a live neutrel switch and earth, the stat i think you are talking about is a volt free stat which just requires 2 wires an in and out, look at it like a switch if you like

its a 3core and earth, grey black and brown. brown common grey neautrel and black as your switch, most thermostats wire directly into time clock, if you could tel me the make and model of time clock and thermostat i can tel you exactly where connection go.

3 core wouldn't, but 3 core and earth should I think. The live from the UH4 could feed both the brown and grey of the valve.
