Hi Guys,
Iv got a Samsung LCD tv, Sky box, Dvd player with surround sound, an infered eye for sky to watch same channel in other room, x-box, and wii.

My last tv was fine as it had 2 scart connections at the back of it but my new one only has 1 so im stuck and cant connect the inferred eye.

At the moment its connected as follows:

Scart from DVD to Sky Box, Out of Sky box to TV and on the side of the tv there is a 3wire scart connection where i can connect x-box or wii but still connect the inferred eye.

Any help would be great thanks...

Only just seen this, Keep Sky to scart unless you have sky HD, DVD player HDMI or component Xbox and Wii (which xbox) will fit in somewhere, without actual full specs its impossible to say what needs to go where.

Hi thanks for the reply.

Iv a Philips DVD player with 5.1 surround sound with 1 scart out lead then iv that going into the sky box then another scart coming out of sky box into tv. x-box and wii can go into 3wire scart on side of tv (red, white, yellow) so just swop between them as i need them untill i get the HDMI cable for the x-box.

I still need to get a scart out for an infered tv transmitter to another tv in the kitchen.

Is it possible to get an adapter form scart to HDMI?

The tv is a 32" Samsung. Also on the back of the tc there are inlets named. Pr Pb Y What are these used for.

Thanks for the help. do you know is there courses available to do these kind of home entertainment setups through out the house. Thanks again.

No Courses just manual which explain how to connect each component.

Your options are limited to:

Buy a scart switch box like the Btech Quintro

Buy a new TV

Buy a better home cinema solution

Looping through the Sky box is a bad idea for the HC system

Red White and Yellow leads are Composite video with stereo Audio (red and Video) which is the lowest quality video. Scart is a cable config not a video standard. Y Pb Pr is component video aka YUV and and high quality of video connection

Depends if your DVD has COmponent video output cables are normally 3 RCA video cables for video and 2 RCA for audio any 75Ohm RCA cable will work

Regards your TV only having 1 scart input, that is something that cannot fundamentally be changed, so something like:
scart splitter
really is your only option. And as for only being able to use 1 scart input at a time, that is also the case regardless of how many scart inputs your TV has. The difference will be in the way you switch between them. I hope this helps

Might be late and might be sorted but 4 way hmdi switcher for inputs SKY,DVD,XBOX and WII to TV
optical link from sky box to surround sound system and rf out from sky box to other tv
IF you havent got HMDI maplins do an adaptor
