Just got call to go look at hot tub tripping rcd. Been reading a bit about them and it says disconnect cables in the control system too identify problem ,reconnecting to see which cause trip and all this obv after checking wiring and rcds etc...

Any pointers...

Installed a couple of these, any problems had used to be linked to the recirc pump, if memory serves me correct it is on a plug within the control panel but can be disconnected and still run the tub, this will confirm if correct. Hope this helps.

Check the heating elements and the over temp cut outs had problems with these where the customer uses chlorine as the water sanitiser also check any water / air control valves located by the control equipment are not dumping water on it because the seals have failed

I've found that the problems that occur are relative to the chemical being used in the water bromine is a lot kinder to the tub equipment whereas chlorine is quite corrosive and very quickly finds the weak spots in pump seals and pump and heater housings
