Hi, I'm pricing a job for a hotel roof. I've just come to do the SAP Cals and I'm not sure on the FITs. I'm pricing for a 4KW and a 8KW installation.

Are the FITS the same as domestic?

Rates are the same, income will be taxable, (business income) see other posts, purchase price can be offset using capital allowances etc.

Our accountant reckoned it wasn't offsetable (if that's a word!) against capital allowances (or was it enhanced capital allowances ...) confused - can you point me in the right direction please?

It's the enhanced capital allowances that can't be used, it comes under normal capital allowances and plant and machinery.

It falls within the Annual Investment Allowance of £100,000 for the year to 1 Apr 12.
From 1 Apr 12, the Annual Investment Allowance is due to fall to £25,000 per year, assuming the Government put the legislation in place as heralded.

Spend early!

Regards
Bruce
