Spent Thursday to Monday getting some much-needed practical experience. Thursday second-fixing on a "posh flats" project (cheers Paul.M!), and Friday to Monday on a lived-in rewire. Feeling a bit achey, but still buzzin'.
Things I have learnt:
- Automatic wire strippers... where have you been all my life?!?
- Earth sleeving tied to the top of your ladders, long enough to reach the ceiling - saves time hunting around in pockets.
- Battery tools are ace. No trailing wires.
- These wood bits (in combination with an impact driver) eat through joists.
- Utility bar useful for lifting up floorboards.
- Ceiling roses terminated at 11pm are not done quite as neatly as those done in my shed.
- If summat's in t'way: bray it wi' that!
