This has probably been asked before by a newbie like myself but I couldn't find it. Given the readings from the supplier/dno meter and the generation meter. How can they work out how many units are exported. With no meter actually reading what is consumed by the installation I can't see how they do it but I am probably missing something really fundamental? Or do they base it on previous consumption?

Any help greatly appreciated to answer customer questions and for my own benefit

Many thanks

Mark

Deemed export is set at 50% of total generation (for systems up to 30kW) unless you have an export meter fitted. This is set in the FiTs legislation by DECC and could change at any time in the future.
