This new EPC arrangement is causing us some problems, particularly with commercial jobs where the EPC can be ÂŁ250-400 a pop, which is a fair size chunk out of the profit margin if we're having to do this twice on jobs we've already contracted for.
on domestic, we're doing our first job tomorrow that we've not had a preassessment for, and I'm pretty certain it should get a D with the PV on it, but now the householder has queried why we've not got it done in advance, and I've got a squeeky bumcheeks thing going on with it.
TBH I really can't see what DCLG are trying to achieve by this measure, and don't see the difference between what we were doing, and assessors being allowed to accept stuff like insulation certs as evidence that a certain level of insulation has been installed. It's ****ing me right off though.
any pearls of wisdom appreciated.
