Our coffee machine stopped working and it’s an electrical issue because it will not turn on anymore. I am under the impression that these machine are built to handle a wet environment, but is it at all possible it could have received water damage and how? If not, what could have happened? I press brew and nothing happens.
Sorry if this is not a proper topic for this forum but I figured someone could help since it’s an electrical issue.

As an experienced electrical troubleshooter I would agree, I think it is faulty, possibly due to a malfunction or defect. As a consequence, it is inoperative (i.e. dead) and does not work. The technical term for this is Kaputt, or as we say on the film set, NFG (meaning FUBAR or bu663r3d.) Some would simply call it ******.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to be any more specific.

Have you checked the fuse in the plug?
There may also be a reset button on/in the appliance.
You don't say if this is a domestic or commercial machine.
