Discuss How can you become an electrical installation designer? in the Electrician Courses : Electrical Quals area at ElectriciansForums.net

Most of the design compamie I know have degree qualified designers for elec/mech etc

HNC is deffo the first port of call. A maths bridging module may be required to gain access to any higher qulifications, depending on your background obviously.:)

I thought the 2391-20 was the Electrical Installation Design course.I may be wrong, but the HNC is more on Engineering, not on Electrical Installations?

I dont think its mechanically biased because theres two options for your HNC, you can choose either building services or electrical and electronic engineering

hi all
i have just sent off all mystuff and the hnc run y teeside is not installation more aimed at electromechanical techs etc.

the old 2400 design is a better option for electrical installation done that in 2009 and if you have 2391 you only have to do the project and the examination.

good luck to all in what ever course you choose
