With regards to how long a first fix etc in my experience Quality and quantity do NOT mix .I prefer to take my time and do a proper job .Firms ,builders who want a job done yesterday generally do not give a monkeys about the condition of the job or even about you, drop you in it soon as look at you

The firm i was on had us all doing our fixes in a day, We would HAVE to get our fixes done in a day, he would sometimes allow us the next morning to finish off a big 3 story. I enjoyed newbuilds just hated the pressure i was under, this is all down to the reason why i left the firm, I hated the way i had to work. 2 days is ideal i think for a standard semi. prob 3 days for big 3 story. Ive always took pride in my work, and would rather take a little longer and get the job done right rather than rush it.

The way i hear some electricians talk make me wonder how they even get the work, there so many out there that are happy to just throw there fixes in..
