How is the direction this motor spins controles from what I can trace the white is directly attached to the neutral. ( Might be wrong on that, ) Thanks in advance, Simon

You are correct that the white wire should connect to Neutral.
Then the capacitor connects between red and blue (capacitor with twin tags on each terminal for convenience of wiring)
You apply power (eg Live) to the red capacitor tag to make it go one way, or apply it to the blue tag to go the other.

To implement that you could use a momentary (sprung) single pole two way (spdt) switch, with the Live feed connected to the switch centre/common terminal.

The motor is rated for intermittent use, so you wouldn't want to run it for many minutes continuously otherwise its thermal protection might kick in and the motor stop.

NB: Reference to Live and Neutral assumes you are using a 120V supply! (Motor states 120V 60Hz which is not UK mains)
