Hi all
If i wire a new circuit say a cooker point and the customer asks me to test the house wiring do i have to fill in a ELEC INST CERT and a PIR or can i just fill out the E I C with all the results on the SCHEDULE OF TEST RESULTS.
Trying to save paper ???

You require both, I would do the PIR first, then depending on the outcome the EIC, you may have to increase the size of main earth, RCD etc to ensure compliance with BS7671:2008.

When issuing the EIC ensure in the discription that it only for the new circuit.
