When you were all learning to drive how many lessons did you do?

I have currently done 4 lessons :p

P.S what car did you get afterwards?

Hey Mike.

I didn't take my driving test until I was 19 as I had a motorbike from the age of 16 until then.

Aside from going out driving with the old man I think I had about 6 or 7 lessons, but failed my first test for excessive speed!!!!!!!! Passed it second time round though:D.

My first car was a Citroen Xsara VTS, I thought I was the dogs wedding vegetables when I got it cos all me mates had fiesta's and corsa's and mine was a bloody flying machine.

Didn't pass my test till i was 26.Lived in London back then and it was easier to use public transport.Had about a dozen lessons and my first car was a Vauxhall Astra

First lesson was on my 17th birthday. Had 26 lessons and passed 1st time exactlky 6 months later doing 1 lesson a week.

First car was a brand new 1998 'S' Ford Escort 1.6i 16v.

Although my old man taught me how to hot wire his 2.3 Granada Ghia at a ripe old age of 7 or 8 years old!

Lucky me my employer at the time sent me on one of those 5 day courses passed first time but had to share driving with two other students:)

Chris

I did 5 lessons and pass first time  then i whent cruising in my green yugo 55 altho its top speed was 54 and thats between boiling the engine haaaaee memories :D

Had about 20 lessons and passed first time. First and second cars were Ford Fiestas and my third car is a Skoda Felicia which is great had it for a few years now.

2 lessons @ ÂŁ4.60 each, plus the 1 hour session before the test.
Already had the car before I passed (MK1 Granada 3 litre Ghia with manual box).

I had about 20 lessons, passed first time and was one of the lucky ones to have a car bought for me for my birthday (17th), saying that it was a 15 year old Austin all agro.

Since then I have driven almost every brand going (Including a warrior APC), I gave up counting which cars I had after 28 of them. Most broke as they were kackered to start with or company cars, only 1 was written off, not my fault (It did put me in hospital though).

had to give up my MX3 last year for the family bus (Scenic).

:(
