How many years?

How Many years do any of you put on the eic for next recommended date of inspection? C/u change, or rewire?

Yep, 10years is the guidance for domestic however it's discretionary. If the installation is a bit old and tired or is open to abuse/increased wear then i would allow less time (i've put down as little as 3years when carrying out one PIR).

On an EIC you should be putting down the maximum for a rewire cos it is new, and do the same for any new circuits that you add. On a CU change its down to your better judgement, i base mine on how good or bad the IR results are, and its general overall visual condition. I recently gave 12 months after a CU change due to IR readings around 3 meg.

Just as a bit of a side to this, prior to doing a rewire, in fact prior to using any new reels of cable i IR it before use, just to make sure all is well, then once installed you know what readings you should be getting at initial verification stage.
