How much do you guys in the South charge for wiring basic S and Y plan systems? | on ElectriciansForums

Discuss How much do you guys in the South charge for wiring basic S and Y plan systems? in the Central Heating Systems area at ElectriciansForums.net

I charge £280 for labour for 2 x S- plans heating /HW and £350 for Y-plan if the cores have been run in and I am terminating. otherwise there is an additional charge depending on the runs.

If all the cores have been ran into place, its 3 hours work tops, if i have to supply some HR flex etc, wiring centre, id charge somewhere around 160/180, makes no difference if its a y plan or a s plan, there are far too many sparky's in my town that don't touch heating systems, id say less than half do them, good money in heating systems compared to standard power and lighting

When there is high demand and low supply it makes basic business sense to increase the price.

There aint many jobbing sparks out there that would even go near a heating system, therefore you'd be a fool not to take advantage of that :)

I'm obviously missing a trick here. I connect up loads of systems for plumbers and charge a standard hourly rate. Time to rethink the pricing schedule!!

Don't ever do hourly on these..these jobs are the icing on the cake, if you have to, give a day rate but really it's a 3-4 hr job so just price it up.

Just because you make it look easy doesn't mean you de-value your time or effort. For regulars have a set discounted price so you get the turnover.
