I was wondering as i am new to this trade what first of all is a Giga watt?
If a power plant produces it what is the average capacity in a small town.


230 Mega Watt of electricity how many homes on average will it serve in a year?

How much electricity does an average family home consume in a year and what is it measured in?

Giga watt = one thousand million watts
Mega watt = one million watts
Kilo watt = one thousand watts or 1kW that = one unit on your bill

so in a year if you have used 2000 units you have also used 2000 kilo watts

one 100watt bulb will use 1 kilo watt in ten hours

With that information you can work the rest out Im brain dead at the moment.
