HI THERE, COULD MEMBERS OR GUESTS PLEASE ADVISE HOW MUCH THEY WOULD CHARGE FOR A TYPICAL P/I/R ON A 3 BED HOUSE WITH A 6 WAY CONSUMER UNIT, ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED :eek:

it's about 2-3 hours testing and an hour or so paperwork. i usually price at £150-£200, depending on how accessible the CU is and if circuits are correctly labelled. remember to make it clear that any remedial work will not be included in the cost of the PIR.

Thanks for that, any more members kindly assist me ????
(LOVE THE 150 FOR THE CENTRAL HEATING, QUALITY BUD ;);))

Hi mikeytuff. If your keyboard is stuck on capital letters you may need to reinstall the drivers. Windows has an on-screen keyboard facility you can use until you diagnose the problem. If you open a run box and type 'osc' (without the ' ' marks) then hit enter, it will start up automatically.
Hope this helps :)

A lot depends on your location, to be honest.

For London/South East you're generally looking at a figure of around £200 - £250 depending on accessibility. Again remedial work would be additional, beyond the very simple, but does include (for us anyway) full labeling too.

There was big thread on this a while back - mainly about commercial PIRs I think - and the ball park for that came to around £25 - £30 a circuit. So for six ways, on that kind of pricing, you'd be £150 - £180 as Tel suggests.

If it is London, the costs are a little higher because of parking, congestion charging, and time to get to and from the job too.

thanks Bill , i remember your previous advice on my thread bout being my own boss, still slowly moving the chess pieces into my favour, thanks again for your advice Top Man.

No problems, Micky - anytime mate.

And you keep doing that too - one step at a time mate, and before you know it, you'll be there.

Happy new year fella!
