hello peeps,

how do we apply diversity to a load? I have checked in the 7671 and it meantion we can apply it but doesnt deterine what value we apply it at?

you apply diversity to a circuit. e.g. if you have 10 sockets on a circuit, each can theoretically pull 13A, so that's 130A! as all will not be on at the same time, or actually pulling 13A, then you apply diversity, say a 75% reduction > around 32A. showers, though, no diversity is allowed. cookers have their own diversity rule.
 
Hi Ryan,

Look in the OSG page 110, tables A1 and A2. These will give you the allowances for diversity. For a cooker it states,
First 10A then 30% of the remaining current. So if the manufacturer states say 3kw, then you would do 3000/230 is
13A, so first 10A plus 30% of the remaining 3A. If the cooker Iso has a soket on it you would add 5A to your total.
