Hi

I am having problems filling in the PIR (Schedule of inspection). Any examples on how to fill it in? May be an easier explanations on how to fill in the report? Or may be an example of one that is been completed already?

Many Thanks

More info on which bit(s) you are struggling with would help.....as above, they are pretty self explanatory as a whole,so if you can be more specific?

I am having problems with understanding the regs under the PIR (Condition report inspection schedule) I have two questions:
Number one: in the section 6 regarding Shower there is a shower but the whole installation (Practice board) is not in a bathroom!! How do i fill this in as the practice board ( i.e. the installation) has a shower but there is no bathroom?
Number two: Section 5, regarding Final circuits the part that states Concealed cables in cooperating armour or sheath Sec. (5.11) I have a SWA as service cable, but all the erection methods for all the circuits are type B (i.e. Concealed in the practice board) what goes in the box? Is it A tick?

Many Thanks

This only applies to cables which are buried @<50mm and require either an earthed sheath or 30ma RCD protection and applies if your method is earthed sheath, your service cable is unlikely to be concealed and so it would be N/A unless you are relying on an earthed sheath for buried cables elsewhere.

Many Thanks

Sorry! just checking so for number one there is no bathroom but there is a shower unit. Does that mean I still have to fill in the appropriate sections?

And for number two there are two types of cables earth sheathed for circuits protected by 30 ma RCD and SWA service cable feeding the installation that is not buried, so it would be N/A?

Thanks

For the shower on a practice board you would complete the sections for the bathroom, but would not assume that any of the rest of the practice board was in the bathroom unless you have been told otherwise.

None of your cables are buried in a wall so this one would be N/A.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
