Porcelain ones are still commonly used inside appliances where's there's high temperatures. I'm also not keen on them but I still have a trust issue with Wago type connectors as well, they just don't seem a very stable connection to me.
 
Still widely used on American Shredders, Not surprising really considering they are still using Imperial Nuts and Bolts.

The connectors they're showing are called Wire nuts & if used properly, actually work well. I've got a box of various sizes in my spares kit, they're used a lot in multi light fittings, ceiling fans & some machines etc. They used to be used over here years ago, but were made of porcelain & branded Scruit connectors.
 
Ideal make some I've seen in the wholesalers - I still wouldn't!
