How to delete your own Threads/Posts?

Hey Guys,
The title says it all, basically how do you delete a thread which you have created, or even just remove the posts by yourself from that thread.

Why would you want to remove your posts or threads?
Most forums would consider this vandalism, if posts disappear the rest of the thread won't make sense. If you delete a thread you might be removing other members posts which don't belong to you. You can edit posts if you're quick and have a crisis of faith about something you've written but even that might be considered bad manners if others have already quoted it when replying.
