How to fit a socket in a van?

How do you go about installing a socket in a van? was just reading some old posts i came across jboy 1888's pictures of his van and seems like a good idea. Anyone know how to do this

If i was you get a transformer from Halford or take your Van to a carivan shop and let them put it in

was hoping to do it maself but if its less hassle to go to caravan shop probablly just do that

Depends on what you wish to use the socket for ie for mobile phone charging laptop's etc a small (150 watt) inverter would do the job , if you wanted to power a small 240v drill an 800watt inverter should be ok , anything larger or needing long term use ie charging drill batteries etc then you would need to start thinking about installing an extra leisure type battery and a split charge relay to avoid a flat vehicle battery.
