here we go,
we all know mcbs sit on din rails and connected to a busbar but the boys were arguing today about this. One was saying that the plastic clip has to be on the busbar side and the other was arguing how to remove them after without removing the busbar (if possible) but then it got me thinking if he was right then on some dbs the MCBs would be upside down (writing) because i think its schneider who do a single phase db with two horizontal rows of busbar but with the bars feeding from above rather than from the bottom like a standard smaller db.
this is a silly thread i know but perhaps you could humour me it would settle an arguement in work anyway, i was under the impression that the plastic clip has to be on the outside and i know on rcbos has to be because of the shape they can only go one way, just checked the db in my flat and the clips are all on the busbar side.
my guess is that this varies from breaker to breaker but fire away....
