Yea it’s gotta go through the no volt contacts,so that won’t happen,a restart can only be made manually, then.

Hey guys......
I am new to this forum.
I looking for a solution since a week but i am not able to get it. I want to switch on & switch off the dol or star delta motor with timer (Please note: here i am not talking about a timer switch which is used to switch the motor from star to delta). I want to make it on/off on preset time or cycle. Your answers are really appreciated. Hope my question is clear.

Thanks in advance.
Firstly Mate there is no such animal as a "Star Delta Motor" SD is a method of starting a three phase squirrel cage induction motor. Get yourself a Star Delta starter.

.....hope this had nothing to do with that Hotel incident,in Mumbai, where 16 chefs, got sucked through the kitchen fan, during a busy dinner....?

Just noticed the original poster is still here and replied, was going to close thread been 3+ yrs old but as it stands for now I will leave it open.

My input here is we cannot advise on any solutions here until we address the safety aspects, asking to automating a belt driven system could have fatal results if it started up unexpectedly while someone was within the danger zone, until we can establish exactly what we are dealing with, the existing safety guards and system (if present and/or if required) then we will not be going into any solutions just yet.
