First measure about 4" or however much is required from the end of the cable then with a hacksaw slowly cut the the black insulation making sure to score the steel.

Then cut the outer insulation off using a knife

After this check to see that all the strands are scored all the way around.

If they are snap them off.

Then cut tip off end of shroud and put on swa, then open gland and put the lock nut over cable, cut around 30-40mm ish maybe more depending on size.

Then holding the swa with one hand spin it clockwise while holding it still with other hand to evenly spread the steel out

Slide the rest of the gland over the top

Then tighten the gland.

Put banjo on outside and then gland through it.

First drill the hole for the banjo before tightening locknut on gland as this makes it easier.

Tighten then pull shroud down and done

spreading the armour that way is OK with some cables. on some, it shreds the inner sheath. in these cases, i spread the steel with pliers and fingers.
