Hi, i failed the 2391 practical exam, i did the one phase part quite well, but very very slow when i did the 3 phase,

when i do the 3 phase, there is a motor, shall i open it and the isolator to test the continuity? test between CU and isolator, isolator and motor to get the other continuity in 2 steps?

cheers, also any tips on the 3 phase will be strongly appreciated

To do the 3 phase motor circuit continuity do the (long lead method) R2 not the R1+R2 test. Test from the 3 phase board to the socket. But ensure you open the isolate to check there is a continued earth there.

Insulation resistance test.

10 tests from 3 phase board and 6 tests from socket.
