Hi there,

Just after some advice on how to wire the attached drawing (apologies for kids drawing haha)

http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z53/whazza22/?action=view&current=EmLight2.jpg

Im trying to wire a light fitting with 2 x 70w T8 tubes. I have a ballast and a P4 Fastel Inveter.

Im ok when wiring a ballast and emergency light inverter when they both have 8 connections but for some reason this ballast only has 6. It shows one end of each lamp link together (hence 6 terminals not 8). This is catching me out as I have a terminal left over.

The ballast shows 3 connections to one lamp, 3 to the other lamp and a link between 2 ends. The inverter shows 4 connections to em. light and 4 to the ballast.

Could some explain or re-use my drawing to show how to wire please.

Thank you

Hi,

No I dont have the ballasts with me at the moment but I know what it shows.

I have amended my drawing with labelling ther terminals.

-Top 3 terminals on ballast go to one lamp
-Bottom 3 terminals on ballast connect to ballast
-And it shows on the ballast that the two end capa have a link between them

That is fine if you are just having a normal light fitting.

- Terminals 1,3,5,7 on inveter go to the emengency lamp
- Terminals 2,4,6,8 on inverter go to the ballast

Which would be fine if the ballast had 8 terminals.

I think I worked it out previously and had to link twp terminals to an end cap or something but mind blank :S
