Seems they can charge for preparing a prosecution case against you but it is not clear what happens if you are found not guilty in court

Mmmm wonder what is in the small print of the Health and Safety (Fees) Regulations 2012.

Certainly appears as another government department trying to maximise government income

The way I read it they're going to levy fees if they have to get involved and the time and material cost will continue to clock up until it reaches court. I'd guess that there'll be a lot of improvement notices etc and not much court action, same as it is now really only now it's going to cost, dearly.
