Humidi fan off shower circuit

Hi All
I am currently doing a bathroom and customer wants a humidistat fan fitted, I have limited access to the ceiling due to a ensuite above so I cant tap into light circuit. There is a redundant shower circuit(10mm) feeding an isolator outside the bathroom and then into the room, I want to extend this circuit to the small crawl space above and fit the fan on this . Do I need to fit an FCU before the fan and what rating mcb should I use at the D,B. The circuit is rcd protected. Hope this all makes sense.

Can't see a problem in using an oversized cable, if you put a 6A MCB in at the CU then you shouldn't need to put in an FCU, as it would be like any other fan setup on a lighting circuit. You should clearly label the new circuit so that anybody coming along later understands what you have done.

No need for a fan isolator switch also, if its the only appliance on the circuit!

Agree with what yellowvanman man says, particularly labelling at CU, only problem could be that the instructions with the fan may well specify no more than a 5A fuse and a DP isolator! In which case you will have to spend a few quid on an FCU - and just use the shower isolator :).
