Any body had antyhing to do with humidistat fans?

Are tehy any good if about 1.5m away from a shower?

Can you get standalone humidistats to control a normal fan, say cieling mount?

i've also considered an occupancy sensor to control the fan, not sure which is the best way to go.

cheers boys

My flat mate refuses to open the window when he has a shower and does'nt always use the lights, i'm just gonnna try the built in humidistat on the fan for a while then fit an external stat if ness, cheers mate

it was already in the house but the pull switch is just an isolator. i press the start button on the redring shower unit and step out(nice and dry) then operate the pull switch and both start. ffs dont use a bathroom light switch, this thing is rated for the job in hand, im industrial maintenance, but if remember correctly a lecky shower should have its own circuit so id take an extra live from the switched side of the isolator through a 3A fused spur located in your roof space to your fan. id also come up with a delay off circuit for the fan so it continues to extract for a while after the showers turned off. theres probably domestic installation sparks on here could tell you a better way or im completely wrong, but thats how id do it.
