Hi everyone,
I have been asked by a customer to resurrect some of their very old testing equipment .
Long story short , I have managed to get an old Ferranti HV insulation tester back up and running but , I know for a fact that the next thing he is going to ask me is , "can someone calibrate it and give me a certificate of calibration"
The Unit composed of 2 main components , 1 is doing the low voltage variation via a Variac and the second part is a remote oil filled ferranti transformer that elevates the voltage from 220 to 50000 volts.
The voltage variation unit also displays via a voltmeter and a few resistors the HV voltage that would be provided on the secondary of the transformer. (In other words when the voltmeter indicates 50000volts there is only 220v onto the volt meter)
My question is Is there any companies in scotland who can test up to 50kv and deliver a calibration certificate testifying of the accuracy of the device i.e when the display shows 50000v when really there is only 220v on the primary I want to be sure that there is 50000volt at the secondary .
hope this makes sense and that someone can send me toward a calibration company that can do this .
thanks in advance
