Hi,
I have been having a number of HV autoreclose events, so I decided to patrol the line myself and came across the pole as shown below. How often are they supposed to patrol the line? I have phoned UK power networks and they are going to do a planned shutdown over the next few weeks.

Thats pretty standard for my neck of the woods it took 3 years of autoreclosures & outages for them to clear the short section of 11kv to our village. I was chatting to an SSE linesman the other day who says they have stepped up penalties for outage hours now so things should improve.....wait & see on that one!

Watched them trim some trees that were very close to the lines dont think they isolated tho as they put orange insulating pipes on them havent a clue what voltage it was but was on wooden poles like above. Looked like theres a slot in the pipes and they interlock together.

Wouldn't want to be climbing them trees! Daz
