To be fair, I've rarely seen a 4kWp system that hasn't been calculated to perform better on a 4000TL than a SB3300. The 4000TL is oversized, without a doubt, but it is just that bit more efficient. Hopefully when the 3600TL comes out it will be THE inverter for 4kWp systems. Currently, we tend to use a lot of Fronius IG TL 36 inverters. For often than not, they offer the best results.

The Price I have offer for the Hyundai system is £11,000 give or take so I would suggest the quote you have had is pretty competitive. Sunny design suggested over 3500kwh per year which is a high performance.

Cheers for the replies guys, very helpfull. Looks like the Hyundais are going to take some beating, got 3 more quotes to get in over the next 2 weeks then get signed up for an install.

Thanks

Sorry furry, I hoping MarkC would post a result from his PV Sol software (i'm too tight to spend the money ;) )

The 3110 is your SAP Calc. In a good year, a well installed system could yield 3400 - 3500 kwh. My advice would be pick an installer who posts on here and get them to install you 16 Sanyo on a SMA 4000tl. it would be a little more than your perlite panels but it would more than pay in the long run.

Panel choice is all very well but any badly installed project will cost more in the long run, choose your installer as wisely as the panels.

I'm running a design on these later. I will post my findings then.

What DNO you under Morgan123? This discussion about the 4000TL will run and run I think.

We have fit 3 systems with Hyundai 250 panels and I won't install anything else now, they look great and all customers are really happy with them!

The Sanyo seems to be getting difficult sell for us (after selling mainly sanyo's), compared to the Hyundai your looking at a big price difference. Customers are getting prices for all sorts of cheap panels from competitors and want the best panel for the cheapest cost. To be competitive we are now pricing with Hyundai unless people specifically want Sanyo or where Sanyo can be the only solution. The Hyundai are a good panel and a brand people can trust against others on the market. As a benchmark we only consider panels with 10 year manufacturer warranty. Sanyo wholesale prices need to come down !!

HiWe have installed a few 4kwp systems using the Hyundai 250 his panels, we have been very impressed with the performance and build quality of the panels. I would recommend you ask your installer to provide details on a fronius inverter, they, in my opinion are the best in the market and can come with an extended 20 year warranty until 31 December. Good luckRichard
