normal call to replace three pir's, told customer to supply pir's and i would fit on weekend. had to borrow fathers jeep to carry laders and took brother to drive. turned up three pir's cable all ready there and he wanted old pir's taken down, no problem i thought and told him about ÂŁ130.00. About An hour in i had a phone call off father saying a woman had crashed into my parked alfa 147 outside his house and i had police ringing me etc etc. anywaygot all pir's up before it got dark put fcu in loft turned on and only one light worked! spent an hour tracing down cables in loft but brother had a pool match and it was too dark to work outside. Apologised to customer and explained that i would return and finnish job another day he offered to pay me 60 then and 70 when i returned.I have rung and rung the guy back but to no avail.
I am not earning anything off this job but wanted to finnish job to give me peace of mind that electrics are ok and now if one of you guys looked at the work i would get a bad name.

Don't worry mate there's plenty of times where I run out of time or wrong materials and have to go back, you said you'd go back and as its getting close Jesus birthday he probably will wait till after now. I'd be more worried about you're car

car a right off just waiting for check off insurers so i can finaly afford a van.
any ideas on a good van between 1000 and 2000?, was thinking of getting an old postie van i can't remember the name.

If it was me I would either get a Renault Kangoo or a fiat doblo for that kind of money.
You didnt use the car for work did you? i wanna buy a Honda s2000 but I know it will sit on the drive for 6 days a week

nissan vanette 10 years old for a grand or less. several on ebay. mine does 35mpg and is just that bit bigger than kangaroo van. easy get 3m lengths of trunking inside.

i like the look of the kangoo and it was my first choice but may be alittle small and brother a postie and recomended the vauxhal combo. will have to google length of enteriors on each as being able to put full lengths of stuff in back is an advantage.
sorry tel i don't like the look of your van.

35 mpg from a vanette? I had one and it was thirsty got a vauxhall combo and realised what I was spend on fuel was crazy. Saying that was ÂŁ500 and lasted to years then sold for ÂŁ500. It went on a boat to largos apparently.

Don't buy French for that price.

my dad went out and bought a nice new car on a Thursday a couple of years ago, had to wait until the Saturday to pick it up due to new paperwork that has to be DVLA registered before they will let you drive it... drove it home on the Saturday, parked it up outside his house, never touched it again, went to work on the Monday in the works van that he had.....came home on Monday night and the car was wrecked.......some diddery old woman (84 years old) had been driving down the hill beside the house and forgot which one the brake was, she put the foot down on the accelerator in her rusty old corsa and used my dad's car as an emergency brake....she couldn't even remember what year it was ....totally lost the plot but still allowed on the road...
