i got robbed

hello all.
if anyone around the north london area gets offered a megger 1552 by someone then its probably mine
van got broken into yesterday.
1x dewalt sds
1xhitachi sds
1x megger 1552
1xbosch 36v battery drill with 3 batterys
1xhilti cordless
amongst other things
proffessionally done. screwdriver just below the lock
probably took them 30 seconds.
i suppose its a berlingo design fault
they left my hand tools
that was good of them
anyway i'm gonna get a 1553
does anybody know where any good deals are on
and also how much the software should cost

Sorry to hear that - might be worth looking on ebay for your tools

THESE were the cheapest i could find a month or two ago when i bought my 1552, don't know if they are still the best.

i had seperate contents insurance.
i have to pay 20% of the claim and they'll pay 80% after my 100£ excess.
thats for the contents

gotta hire a van cos they only give a courtesy van in the event of a nonfault crash
this comes under vandalism
gotta pay £350 excess
they've ruined the back and side doors around the locks with a screwdriver
good start to the week eh!!

Bad luck mate, invest in a van vault next time which can house your expensive equip' in it , ive got one and although they can knock you back a few hundred its usually comparable to the excess you pay, and also some insurance companies will reduce the cost as they are secure enough to stop any opportunity thefts.
