Hi Guys

Is it just me or does everyone Struggle at first with Calculations.

At the moment im doing my Part P, Test and Inspection and im struggling.

I understand in principle how the R1 + R2 and ZS and ZE values work but then when i have to do some calculations set by the tutor (as a test) with out Aids My mind goes blank and i begin to Panic.

FALIURE is not an option as my job depends on me getting this cert, is there a tried and trusted method of understanding and making it sink in.

I dont class myself as thick at all but in alkl honestly i feel im struggling

If you know the correct formula and were to insert the values in the formula it should be easy enough with a calculator. I for one had a major problem remembering the formulae in my younger years but it came together in the end.

I was + 40 when I went back to Level 3 maths I felt like I had been Pithed (Look it up ) but I still ****** some of the 17 year olds by a mile why ? Because I had grit they had jack ----

Having recently finished part p and currently studying my 2391. Calculations don't always come easy. The one I always remember is Ze= ELFI Entering the system.
Zs= ELFI of System.
E for entry
S for system.
It works for me and always remember your Ohms law, so handy in so many questions.

it sounds so daft now but i struggled with ohms law of all things when i first got shown it. could not grasp it for months just would not stick. all of a sudden the penny dropped. i know how disheartening it can be but stick with it and it does all drop into place. then you wonder why you could not get it. it`s not about being thick sometimes you try so hard that it just won`t go in. that minds a funny thing at times :D
