HeHe, I have spent quite a bit (lot) of time over the last few weeks re doing my course material for the 17th edition course. Spent hours going through the NICEIC learning guide. Before i will put any sample questions, or things to do and find exercises in front of any candidates, i check every point and every answer against the answers that are given, i then check the answer against BS7671, and write down the reg number etc. As a result of all this, i can quote regs, tables, charts, diagrams, this that and god knows what else, how sad is that. Anyway, it is a good job that i do this, i estimate i have found about 50 errors in this book, it may be bad terminology, or incorrect information, so if you intend to buy this, then do, it is very good, and will have you finding your way around the regs in no time, but always check the answers against the BGB.

It's not the NICEIC learning guide that's wrong (they write the regs remember!), it's the BGB. Get your act together IET!

I bet one of the errors is to do with the CSA of main earthing conductors.

i feel quite ashamed of myself now... learnt all the elecrical knowledge for the 2330 L1, L2 + L3 like adiabatic, cable calcs etc...

since finishing the course i have never used the stuff ! so its all gone out of the window ! lol
