Hi

I have been asked to quote to install a product called I-power. Its a power saving device imported from Japan. The wiring diagram shows a socket taken from the protected side of the RCD in the cu to a two pin socket, not sure about the regs.
The seller wants to offer an install price with the product not sure whether to get involved or not! Any advice?

I'd be extremely careful here and ask to see evidence of all relevant BS conformance and approvals:

EN 60730-1:2000
EN 61000-6-1:2007
EN 55022:2006+A1:2007

There will be others but I haven't got time to find them!
