Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum having trawled the internet for a bit of advice regarding an ice cream freezer set up I am planning. I have bought a freezer which was hard enough to find in terms of the correct size - it is here: Vestfrost IKG 205 Glass Lid Display Chest Freezers
It has come with a 2 pin plug and is 13amp, 180 watt input. I actually have no idea what that means bear in mind. I also read 50 hz. The location I am planning to use this freezer has no access to electricity - I planned to run it by battery (with solar power charging it) or as my last resort a super silent generator. The 2 pin plug has stumped me. I bought it from a uk company and thought it would be a simple uk plug.
The battery situation would be my most ideal if they can charge it for long periods throughout the day. Ideally whilst my ice cream bike is on-site I would have another battery charging at home, to swap at the end of the shift so that the freezer would constantly run through the night in the trailer. My mechanic thought perhaps I might need 2 batteries. I'd really appreciate if anyone can give me some advice on this subject as I truly do not have any experience or knowledge in the area.
Thanks in advance,
Philip
