Has anybody used it or know of it? It seems they had a few bad reviews back in January but it looks to have been updated since. Is it worth the £19? If it works I think it is. Though If it doesn't it's worthless

From what I read the problems were minor iterations, I didn't purchase as new eicr was about to be included if it has been updated then for the price compared to what other software packages are charging would justify the price.

Dont waste your money i think you will revert to the computer anyway. i couldnt use it

The reason why I would want it is because at the moment I'm writing them in rough on paper to give to my boss who then does whatever he does with them. Surely it could be easier for me to use the app and email it to him.
The problem with buying stuff on the app store is you have no chance of getting money back if it is no good. At £19 it's quite a risk. I ain't going to lose sleep over losing £19 but I don't wanna pay £19 to someone for something that's rubbish

Has got 3 out of 5 star rating on the App store and seems like some pretty mixed reveiws and it says it does not support ammendment 1 ATM, some 5 months after it came in and some near 18 months scince everyone knew it was going to come in, so not good there. looks like it has great potential and i spose it can only develop better if people support by buying it, but i think i will be saving my money and if i ever feel the need to go digital i will go all out and get easycert

O.K. get the boss to pay if it's going to make his life easier, and you more efficient?

And if it's no good not only have I given £19 to some "con artist" ( only a con artist if it's no good) I would have also wasted £19 of my bosses money. If you have met my boss you will know this is a big no no haha
I just wish there's somat to back on in the app store. Which there's not, buy something that's no good and tough luck

What do ya reckon of the rating system on the app store.... A load of one star ratings mixed around a few 5 star ratings..... Cant help but think that it's 'not accurate' (being polite)

Just bought this the other day don't rate it at all also hate the fact it was made for iPhone so you have to zoom to see on iPad so text is blurry 2 out of 10. Don't waste your £20

I wouldnt waste my money on it at the moment purely of the basis that it does not support ammendment 1 which has been in place for 6 months now!!! having said that though i dont spose that effects things like Zs values, you pays your money and takes your choice, £19 a hell of a lot cheaper than £265 for easycert

Emailed the icertifi company and got a reply, thought I'd share it with the forum.

Hi, when do you think the update will be out for the amendments?
Cheers
Michael

Hi

Cant give you a date but its in hand, along with some very useful additions if all goes to plan, next update should be very interesting

Regards
James - for icertifi

A Chrysler 300 is a hell of a lot cheaper than a Bentley Continental. They're not in the same league though!

I've used Tysoft EasyCert for the past 3-4 years and find their technical support and frequency of updates to be excellent.
What could you honestly expect for £19? Nothing at all like what you'd expect from Tysoft, that's for sure!
You really can't compare the two.

That's very true, although it all depends what you require. At the moment I'm filling the test papers out in ink and handing
Then to my boss who in turn, does whatever he does. They go on the computer but I'm not sure what program he uses.

My idea is to use an app so I can email it straight to him.

That would make it much easier for you. You could always save a copy for your reference that way.
EasyCert lets me email copies in a PDF format to my boss for his records. I print and bind the certificates and include and Part P compliance certificates in the same folder which is handed to the customer.
There's an online backup feature within EasyCert which periodically prompts you to backup which could be a godsend should you lose a hard-drive and your local backups.

I'm actually going to ask him what software he uses. Easycert do a good app and if that's what he uses then this conversation would all be for nothing

Have you tried the editable PDF's that are on this forum?
Email them over when done!

Go to post 114 of the EICR editable PDF's at the top of this inspection and testing part of the forum which have the amendments tweaked.

EIC and MWC are on the forum as well.

Any problems with them PM me and I will try and sort it out.

which is why i said you pay your money you take your choice, wasnt comparing at all

Just down loaded the easy cert app on my I pad for free it looks to could to be true just had to email them for my serial number to email and print Certs off is this were they ask for money

Gary it comes up app said free when I down loaded it on I pad got all the Certs I can print on them but need a serial number to activate account just sent email asking for serial number looks good though will let you no if I'm clobbered for money when I get reply

The serial number will probably come when you buy the complete package which comes with EasyCert mobile.
I'll download it from the App Store and take a look.

Just looked in settings and you do need account information to send and receive certificates. That'll come with the package purchase.
It's not much use filling in certs on your iPad and not being able to send them anywhere to print.
Would have been nice to have a go with it but I only have the EasyCert Pro license so my account information won't work and at £59.95 to upgrade my license I think I'll pass!

Brian Harper is pretty good at responding to emails but it'll be tomorrow I would think. He'll be asking you for money - that I'll bet my house on!
Free to download and fully open to use (for those that have an appropriate mobile license) otherwise crippled. Agree though, misleading.

We use the ELECSA certificates that we've converted in house to edit on a PDF writer. I'm hoping I'll be able to fill them out on a pdf writer via smart phone when I get one. An Android PDF writer was about £3 when I looked.

Well me too if it costs that much naughty that though tells you it's free but not all of it let me no how you get on I'm still awaiting reply

The app is free, but it must accompany a full desktop working program to work, and that will cost you. Its all clear on the tysoft/easycert website.

I agree that it's not misleading at all. Nothing is for free in this world. Mark I fully appreciate pointing out the PDF files thanks.

I may be able to help with this as im the developer of iCertifi. After being royally screwed by an overseas developer who made errors and then refused to release the code meaning i could not make updates... at considerable expense it has been re built line for line. The new update will include all the amendent updates, blue certs for NAPIT members, EICR, and the ability to save your certs to the device with the facility to reuse, edit, save your certs all without the need for computer. You will have all your certs with you on a part p assessment for instance, go back to do a EICR and most of it is already filled in saving loads of time. It will have a yearly subscription model, this means you will be able to try out the app and if you like subscribe for the yearly amount which will include support and any reg updates, rather than paid upgrades. The price hasn't been fixed but will be the most cost effective option of all the software packages, im trying to get under £50 for the year. Even if you dont want to use it on your iphone you can print as many blanck certs off as you want without restriction for filling in by hand, its up to you.

Any questions give me a shout and i will try and help
James
