Hi,

How about a section for naming and shaming companies and people who fail to pay who mess electricians about.

I am owed a significant amount of money by someone who says he will not pay until he has been paid, then has the cheek to tell me to stop asking as its 'irritating him'.

Its a great idea and I'd LOVE it.

but I think legally its .....fragile

I thought as much, hence not naming them... It's really annoyed me, I stinks intact, I've don the work, issued cert and notified etc weeks ago, now he will not pay. Thinks I'm abnormal wanting payment on completion of work.

Ill go and through a brick through his front window.

Just sell the debt to a collection agency, I have the number somewhere of one....
Essentially they find out what your owed, how long its been owed for and if you've invoiced them. If so they then will add on their fee (something like 40-70 quid) and start sending letters...then take said party to court

Don't throw a brick, throw him through the f-ing window! Nobody leaves me hanging on too long for money! I'm all payed up by customers, the only cock who owes me money is a dodgey light transformer company in kent, if only they were closer!

Exactly! There's only so long you should be polite for, after that, you shouldn't be keeping your hands to yourself.

Got the same problem, this time it's the builder. He's owed money but the client won't pay up for "lack of communication with the builder"

The builder is a fruit to be fair, I think I'm going direct to the client asking for my last payment.

I will learn from my mistake, next time cash upfront! This Cuking Funt owes me ÂŁ1300 at the moment, if I have not got it by Monday ill do a Money Claim Online its only ÂŁ35 I think.

If someone does something for me, I pay when they hand me the invoice, I personally would never mess someone about, and would not be able to sleep a night if I messed people about like this.

There is nothing worse than some twaddle owing money, I have waited 4 months before now for 12 Grand and it is not a pleasant experience, However IME waiting is sometimes quicker than legally getting your money, it can take as long as 18 months if going down the legal route, not always of course but it is common for periods of that length when the law gets involved.
