Whilst awaiting my niceic assessment i have been to price up a job, basically it is a loft conversion and i was planning to put a seperate cu up there as the route is awkward.
It needs smoke detectors on each floor,a ring main and lights.
2 bedrooms and one bathroom .
i have been out of domestic for a couple of years so think my ideas are good just thought i would run it past some people in the know!
The existing installation has a db with 1 spare way, it is protected with a 30ma rcd. i plan to put a seperate four way cu in the cupbaord in one of the bedrooms and take local circuits back to it. Was thinking a 6mm t&e from downstairs protected by 40A mcb total length around 8 metres. Cu would just have isolator as protected by 30a mcb. Am i supposed to fit a 17th edition db at the downstairs now or is the way i have suggested ok?
