I'll soon be installing a 45A 3 phase deep fat fryer at the school where I work. The run is approximately 7m from the DB, and the cables will be enclosed in empty trunking. What size cables will I need?

Especially for someone who wants to size the cables based on an Internet forum! That's one hell of a big fryer if its 45A 3 phase!
From my experience comrade you'll need 5x2.5mm singles to a 5pin 16a interlocked rcd socket
IS the OP certain that its 45amp per phase , as that is one huge fryer
Most catering fryers that I have wired up were roughly 13amps per phase and were wired in 2.5
Every commercial three phase fryer I've seen uses that setup unless this is a massive industrial fryer.... No wonder kids are so fat nowFor a 45A three phase load? Thats pretty ambitious.
With the skyrocketing price of leccy I am surprised schools aren't taking out all the high consumption appliances and just serve sandwiches and fruit
