The point is Gavin, these people were no threat to the uk, they were ordinary workers fighting for better working conditions.
They were a threat to those who wanted to mistreat them and impose poor working conditions and pay on them.

I fully agree these people were badly treated and it shouldnt have happened. but at the same time some of these union leaders are in cloud cuckoo land with some of the demands they have should there be a corbyn government...

Its the militants that worm there way in to power and then get their mates on board and the union gets stuck with them for forty years or so.
