Im on the way to finishing my level 3, do I need to do the part P course?

Hi there just wondering if I need to do the part p course if I have completed a nvq level 3 2330 if I wanted to do work as a domestic installer under NICEIC??? Would I be eligible to certify/test and certificate as a domestic installer without the 2391 and just 2330 lv and 17th edition?

from what i am aware they give you 12 months to take your 2391.

2330 and 17th is sufficient to practise as a DI with ANY Scheme!! You can still Test and Certify with out it! and there i no requirement to obtain it either.

the 2391 is a holy grail qualification reserved for the spark who wants to look better on paper and deem competence in the test and inspecting field!

to be able to sign off your own work under part p you need to regerster and be assesed by the likes of elecsa, niceic etc. you are assesed for you compitence and there is no need for 2391, you have a year to do 2391 if you regester for approved status.
