Right guys,

I'm looking at buying the following equipment and would appreciate your views on the "value for money" kinda thing

Megger MFT1720 - Free Calibration
30m wander lead - Think its Kewtech
R2 Socket Adapter
Calibration Checkbox (The non-powered type)
Voltage Detector
Proving Unit

The price of this lot is ÂŁ785 + VAT (ÂŁ942)

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

Megger MFT1720 - Free Calibration ÂŁ650.00
30m wander lead - Think its Kewtech ÂŁ45.00
R2 Socket Adapter ÂŁ20.00
Calibration Checkbox (The non-powered type) ÂŁ50.00+
Voltage Detector ÂŁ45.00
Proving Unit ÂŁ60.00

The price of this lot is ÂŁ785 + VAT (ÂŁ942) Total brand new about ÂŁ870.00+VAT

Any advice appreciated

Cheers
See my approx idea of prices above, all depending on make, model, etc. because they can vary considerably so you would save about ÂŁ80 on what i think the price would be, so seems like about the right price. Certainly not getting ripped off, unless they are secondhand!

Iv got the older version of the megger very good meter never had any problems can do full tests full house. I also have a easytest mi3000 and although its a good meter it over heats after 15 sockets and then is slow going. The wand I have is the megger one though never used the kewtech.

Cheers guys, I've only used the megger 1552 which I thought was a good bit of kit.
I'm gonna buy this set and see how it treats me :p

With expensive kit like a Meggar its worth checking the guarantee. I don't have Meggar but my Tester came with five years, that may be standard now, but when I bought it other manufacturers where only offering three years.
