Thanks, it should be the little black cord grips tat attach to the immersion heater with a short self tapping screw, yeah was thinking a bag of small cable ties would be an option. Ill have a look on eBay and see what wonders await.There was a thread asking a similar question a short while ago, and apparently they can be found on ebay, although it depends on the length you require.
May be easier to take them from new plugtops or cable outlet plates if you can find an example with the right size.
If it's for the usual style of immersion heater, you might get away with cable tie-ing the flex to the studding that holds the cover in place. A bit of a bodge, but it satisfies the requirements, as long as there's no sharp edges where the cable comes in.
